"Although not the cheapest quote we had - after discussing everything with you we are glad we chose Oak Floors Online as our supplier. To be honest, your 'sales pitch' about 'low machining tolerances' seemed unimportant until we spoke with our fitter and then it became clear that this may save money on the fitting. He (our fitter) will be ordering directly with you himself because he said it was the 'best fitting flooring' he's ever laid. There wasn't one piece that did not fit together perfectly and not one piece wasted. Thank you for a wonderful result."

IMPORTANT:
If for some reason you’re just interested in prices and not the overall quality, please note that our Solid Oak boards are machined to very low tolerances, thus reducing selection and fitting time, and remedial work required after installation. This all adds up to a saving in cost and time for you. Before you order on price alone somewhere else, always check the machining tolerances for the product you want because the extra work required after installation can make that product very expensive. We’ve seen 130mm wide boards varying by 4mm in width over a 1200mm length!
IMPORTANT:
Within the packs supplied, there will be very few lengths over 1200mm because our selection and quality process eliminates the longer boards when grading. The average length is 750mm.
Because of the way that Oak grows, and the quality grading process that we insist upon, lengths above 1200mm are seldom available.
NB
Solid oak is a natural product and is susceptible to dimensional changes when subjected to varying levels of heat, humidity, and moisture.
Wider boards over 150mm and less than 18mm thick are more susceptible to ‘cupping’ and it’s advisable to face fix these size boards to avoid this costly problem.
As you can see, we don’t supply any solid board over 150mm because of these reasons. Please note that the fitting responsibility is always with the owner/fitter and not us as a company.
Overall Grade Mix – 25% mix of each A, B, C and D grades to give an authentic appearance of natural oak with natural features and character.
